Tom McKechnie BA (Hons) Arch
Tom takes the leading role in the running of the practice. He joined Christopher Gorniak and his father Ian after graduating from Oxford Brooke University in 1990.
He became Chris's main assistant and learnt all he had to offer (Chris's words) about the sensitive repair of especially timber-framed and brick ancient buildings, modern building techniques and planning law. He is a fine building surveyor and traditional draughtsman.
He now brings his own practicality and sense of sympathetic modern design to the work, which makes him sought after by clients and has gained him a good reputation in Council planning departments.
His 2006 and 2007 projects, Barton Grange, Worlingworth and Grove Farm House, Denham both received awards from the Suffolk Association of Architects.
In 2015 his work on the Grade II* listed Cumberland House, Woodbridge was highly commended by Suffolk Coastal District Council.
